The 2023 Not-A-Sprint Weekend is a powerful platform for us to rally together and make a difference. Every dollar raised during this event will be utilized to empower individuals affected by cancer, fostering their well-being and promoting an active lifestyle throughout their treatment journey. By investing in their physical and mental health, we aim to provide invaluable support and a renewed sense of strength.
In collaboration with the cherished family and friends of Kirk Wilkerson, a true cancer and community leader, Throwing Bones is dedicated to carrying forward his inspiring legacy. Kirk was a beacon of encouragement, advocating for physical activity and championing cancer education and research. Moreover, a significant portion of the funds raised will be directed towards the Kirk Wilkerson Cancer Memorial, a lasting tribute that will benefit East Rutherford High School Athletics. Kirk’s remarkable impact as a mentor and coach touched the lives of countless athletes, shaping their character and guiding them towards success. By contributing to this memorial, we honor Kirk’s dedication and continue his legacy of inspiring young athletes to achieve their full potential.
The 2023 Not-A-Sprint Weekend is not just an event; it is an opportunity to make a lasting difference. By joining us, you become a catalyst for change, helping us create a supportive environment for cancer patients, survivors, and their families. Together, let’s celebrate Kirk’s life and accomplishments, while propelling our collective efforts towards a brighter future for patients, caretakers and the support we offer both.
Your participation and generosity will create a ripple effect of hope and healing that will resonate far beyond the event itself. Join us as we make strides towards a healthier, more compassionate world. Together, we can turn the challenges of cancer into triumphs of resilience.
