Paul Brown, BSW, MSW
Since 2001, Paul has served seniors and disabled adults at Mecklenburg County DSS where he has worked with Services to Maintain Independence and Adult Protective Services. His role in this community is to insure the safety of the elderly and people with disabilities. He evaluates reports of abuse, neglect, and financial exploitation. He has been named Employee of the Year of the 1,300 employee organization and named the James Richardson Hero Award winner. He has been a public speaker for the agency for years.
Paul is currently a board member of the Nancye Flemming Markle Charitable Trust for Children where he has served since 2007. The foundation funds private nonprofit organizations that address the needs of abused and neglected children in North Carolina.
