“Professionally speaking, I am an art conservator at Biltmore Estate in Asheville, NC. My non-profit experience comes from over 30 years of working in the museum world and my tenure as a board member for the North Carolina Preservation Consortium.

Personally speaking, I am a cancer survivor myself. I have experienced firsthand the challenges of the medical system, the shortcomings of insurance companies, and the need for patient advocacy.

Navigating the world of cancer diagnosis and treatment is not for the faint of heart.

I am a strong believer in community and giving back through volunteering. In 2011, I was part of a team that went to Haiti to salvage museum artifacts damaged in the 2010 earthquake. In early 2022, I joined the National Heritage Responders, a group of museum professionals that volunteer their time to help institutions across the country respond to disasters of all sizes. Closer to home, I volunteer with the Guardian ad Litem Association as a court-appointed child advocate.

The rest of my time is dedicated (in no particular order) to running, exploring the outdoors, enjoying friends, traveling, learning new things, and witnessing (in awe) the growth of my two amazing kiddos.”
